  13. GifBuilder 0.5 is freeware; this means that you can freely use it, copy it, give it to your friends and store it on your file server as long as:

  15. -the whole distribution of GifBuilder (including this readme file, other documentation files and scripts) is kept together;
  16. -GifBuilder is not modified (especially the copyright notice), translated, or reverse-engineered in any way;
  17. -no file in the distribution of GifBuilder is modified;
  18. -you don't charge for it, even with virtual money, and don't use it to incite people to register in a customers commercial database.

  20. Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in GifBuilder 0.4 shall remain in Yves Piguet.

  31. GifBuilder has been released in English and in French since version 0.3.1. French versions are labelled with an 'F', e.g. GifBuilder 0.5 F.

  33. Other translations might exist, but they have not been tested by GifBuilder's author and are not supported in any way. The modified GifBuilder may not be redistributed.

  35. As stated above, translating GifBuilder without the prior written permission of its author is a copyright infrigement.

  39. GifBuilder is distributed as is, without any warranty or promise of technical support. GifBuilder seems to work as expected, at least on my computer, but the author disclaims any liability of any kind for any loss of data, damages, etc. or any consequential effect. 
  40. GifBuilder has produced files a few programs (including itself) seem to be able to decode, but it is in no way "certified" to encode files compliant with any standard.
